Le chanteur-guitariste américain Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, Old Man Gloom…) vient de sortir Cut To The Core Vol. 2, nouvelle compilation de reprises de morceaux hardcore/post-hardcore 90s. Avec des morceaux comme « First Failure » (Gorilla Biscuits), « Deathbed » (108), « Under The Surface » (Neurosis), « Wait For A Day » (Damnation A.D) ou « Constant Reminder » (Farside), Brodsky rend hommage à ses racines musicales.

L’ensemble est enregistré de façon majoritairement acoustique, remanié et repensé : « ce n’est pas un simple copier-coller, mais une réinterprétation intime du hardcore. »
